Giving back to those who give so much
Frontline Phoenix Foundation is an organization for first responders made up of first responders. We know all too well the stress and hardships that come with answering the call to serve, and we want to give our frontline families a chance to step away from the job to rest, recharge and reconnect with each other and with their families.

Sunset views from the lodge are beautiful!
Our Story
*Phoenix, known to rise from the ashes of its previous life, is a symbol of hope and better things to come, rising from the knowledge and experience of difficult times and challenging circumstances to emerge stronger and more resilient.*
Frontline heroes are expected to rise from the ashes, sometimes literally, of each call they respond to, and emerge ready to put that call behind them and face the next one head-on. With what first responders face daily, there is a thin line between becoming stronger from each call and becoming buried under the toll each call takes on the mind and body. There is an endless need for first responders, and an even greater need to support them.
Like the phoenix and first responders, Frontline Phoenix Foundation arose from ashes of past opportunities when a few first responders teamed up with Rob and Kathy Taishoff, through the Taishoff Family Foundation. Our team recognized the need to support frontline heroes and came together to form a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve first responders, including those in the Armed Forces, by bringing them together outside on the Eastern Shore.
Frontline Phoenix Foundation provides a chance for first responders to rise up from the challenges, danger and hardships they face at work and emerge stronger and more resilient together. Frontline Phoenix Foundation is where first responders can take a deep breath to rest and recharge, knowing they are safe and can enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors. Frontline Phoenix Foundation is an outlet to release the stress, trauma and mental burden these jobs carry.
Our goal is to be a safe escape where first responders can decompress from the hardships they face and strengthen their bonds with each other and with the families who support them. First responders work in stressful, dangerous and sometimes life or death situations. They spend a lot of time away from their families, see and do the unimaginable and are expected to respond to call after call while keeping their bodies and emotions in check. We understand and appreciate the critical role that first responder families play in supporting these heroes, and for that reason we love to include them, too. There are physical, emotional and mental benefits of being outside and being able to unwind and unite with other frontline brothers and sisters and with their families. We hope to promote the comradery between first responders by bringing them together with those who understand what they go through, promoting family time, offering an outlet to share and release emotional stressors and creating positive memories with a breath of fresh air.
Our Lodge
Our lodge at Warriors Rest is on a beautiful waterfront property in Dorchester County. 80 acres of land perfect for hunting waterfowl, deer and turkey. We are surrounded by water for fishing, boating, and crabbing, and have an inground pool for swimming to soak in all the benefits water provides. Our main house boasts the perfect space for our frontline heroes to come together, make themselves comfortable, and share stories to enhance the comradery between them.
